Thomas Harris is a financial advisor who has been working in the financial services industry in Louisville, Kentucky since 1997. Tom focuses on delivering personal care and quality solutions to his clients in the areas of retirement planning, estate planning, education planning and insurance. With Tom, business is personal. He has a vested interest in his clients’ success, and he believes in doing things right the first time. His experience, combined with his status as an independent advisor, allows him to offer his clients simple, honest solutions. In particular, Tom enjoys working with retirees and helping to provide guidance for the concerns specific to their stage of life.
Born and raised in Louisville, Tom graduated from DeSales High School in 1983. He then moved on to graduate from the University of Louisville’s College of Business in 1989. Tom worked in a local bank while in college, and upon graduation, he continued his work there. He gradually rose through the ranks to become first a supervisor and later a management trainee. When he eventually took on the role of branch manager, he realized that beyond just the retail component of finance, his interest drew him to the investment side as well.
Tom earned his securities license in 1997, and he began offering his clients financial planning services at that time. He prioritizes being able to take care of the client to the best of his ability by asking the right questions, listening thoroughly and providing straightforward feedback. He carefully walks clients through the financial process step by step, at a pace with which they feel comfortable, until they feel they have a good understanding of the material.
When working with a client’s portfolio, Tom strives to achieve the proper diversification for growth and protection of funds. His strategy involves closely monitoring each account.
