Although there are many financial objectives in your life, you only have one real financial goal – a successful retirement. Creating a dependable retirement income over a long life span is an ever more complicated and difficult goal to achieve. The transition from employment or small business owner income to a self sustaining income is crucial. Kevan focuses on this reality and has earned the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor and Accredited Asset Management Specialist designations from the College for Financial Planning.
Whether now or in the future, Money Concepts helps you protect, build, withdraw and transfer your wealth to your unique and special needs and desires by customizing strategies and products. We immerse ourselves in your total financial situation – cash flow, taxes, risks, investments and estate planning – to coordinate and lead your decisions as if they are our own.
Although born in Akron, Ohio, Kevan moved frequently growing up since his father was in the Marine Corp. However, that background has provided the independent spirit and ethics that clients experience today. As the only son with three sisters, Kevan learned the art of listening and interacting - helping and protecting as only a big brother can. Now Kevan is happily married with three adult sons, four step children and six grandchildren. He is a member of The Fellowship of The Woodlands Church. These life experiences, along with close relationships with clients, better enable him to understand your life and lifestyle.
Life doesn’t always come easy, as Kevan earned income through employment in high school as well as paying his way through college. After 40 years of working in large corporations as well as starting successful small businesses, the "school of hard knocks" taught Kevan the value of proactive planning to deal with life’s financial difficulties and its successes. Clients now take advantage of his life lessons.
Kevan got started in the financial planning profession as a natural progression of events. Having been involved with business financial management, plus experiencing employee financial struggles as well as having been given poor financial guidance personally; he began his financial advisory career.
Kevan started with Ameriprise Financial Services, formerly known as American Express Financial Advisors, over 10 years ago. As his practice grew, it became apparent how difficult it was to act in the best interests of his clients. So there was no better opportunity than being with Money Concepts as an independent financial planner and wealth manager that focuses on eliminating conflicts of interest.
